NEMS established our Training Academy in 2016 to create a pipeline for supplying the market with the next generation of EMS professionals.  Our programs are designed to provide an alternative training approach for those with busy work schedules who desire to obtain their state and national certifications/licensure as an EMS professional.  Currently, our program offers the following courses:

 

• Emergency Medical Responder

• Emergency Medical Technician (Basic EMT)

• Advanced – Emergency Medical Technician (A-EMT)

 

All classes are taught by experienced, certified EMS Instructors, many who are long-term veterans in providing prehospital care and transportation.  Our training approach includes virtual and real classroom interactions which include didactic knowledge and practical skills assessments.  The application of medical care is assessed via computer-based testing, skills training labs, field rotations (Ride-alongs) with NEMS ambulance crew.  Our comprehensive approach to training positions our students to attain a career in EMS in either the public or private sector.
